About Tu-Bees Foods Inc.

Tu-Bees is a Saskatchewan company that was established in July 2007 by a young entrepreneur, Nicole Hein, at the age of 12. The company provides consumers with a convenient and unique way to enjoy the great taste of Saskatchewan honey with the use of Tu-Bees squeezable tubes. The soft laminate tubes are compact and portable, providing a clean and easy product to take with them while on the go.

Since it began, Nicole and Tu-Bees have been featured on CTV News, CBC News and Radio, Local TV stations, as well as in newspapers and magazines. Because of this, Tu-Bees has gone from being sold locally to being available in stores throughout Saskatchewan. Tu-Bees is slowly expanding into neighboring provinces and presently has two distributors that provide worldwide shipping to both consumers and retailers.

The company has been adding to it's list of accomplishments, such as finding a Saskatchewan honey producer to pack products on a larger scale; being one of three finalists for a SABEX (Saskatchewan Achievement In Business Excellence) New Product Award in May 2009, and recently being invited by SEDA (Saskatchewan Economic Development Association) for Nicole to be a guest speaker at the Defining the New West conference that was held in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, in October 2009.

Tu-Bees will also be a part of Agriculture Canada’s virtual and live museum display Bees, A Honey of an Idea, which will be launched on their website in December 2009, and opening in Ottawa in March 2010 respectively.
